Infrastructure and Architecture Civil Works
Techint E&C is specialized on engineering, procurement and construction services for civil and construction works under the most rigorous international standards, always respecting the environment and contributing to the quality of life of nearby communities.
Our engineering capabilities ranges from feasibility studies, to basic and detail engineering up to construction and start-up, bringing constructability solutions.
We can count 500 projects in this field ranging from dams, to hydraulic engineering works, railways, tunnels and undergrounds, etc. We have also built some of Latin America main road infrastructures, bridges, viaducts, telecommunications systems as well as civil buildings, with a specialization in hospitals in Italy, and industrial complexes.
The first large civil work executed by Techint Engineering & Construction was in 1958, in San Pablo, Brazil, with construction of the Adduction tunnel in Saboó - Santos, for the Santos Department of Works & Sanitation. Techint has since then accumulated a significant experience in water supply systems, leveraging on the leadership position in the pipeline sector and water and seawage treatment plants based on the experience in the downstream sector.
Techint has participated in some of the most challenging infrastructural projects in Argentina, such as the Punta Negra hydroelectric plant -the second largest in the San Juan Province - or the innovative stock-pile assembly construction for Pascua - Lama mining project.
Currently, Techint is engaged in the extension of the H subway line in Buenos Aires, which will allow transporting more than 300.000 people per day, one of Argentina’s main infrastructure works.
