Techint Engineering and Construction and Tenaris took part in the recent "High-Level Energy Conference", held in Linz and organised by the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

On that occasion, the document "The Hydrogen Initiative", a declaration of commitment to maximize the great potential of sustainable technologies for the production and use of hydrogen in the European Union as well as to support the strategic process of decarbonisation and the development and security of the energy system, was signed by both companies jointly with many European companies and entities at first level.

The document was ratified the following day by EU energy ministers at an informal meeting chaired, again in Linz, by the Austrian Minister for Sustainability and Tourism, Elisabeth Köstinger, thus taking a further official step in support of the EU's long-term strategy for reducing energy consumption and promoting climate protection.

Techint Engineering and Construction and Tenaris –represented at the conference by Mauro Paganelli, Head of HSE Engineering, and Stefano Capponi, in charge of Tenaris Business Development, respectively– wanted with this active participation to propose themselves as suppliers of products and services for the production, storage and transport of hydrogen and more generally for the decarbonisation and energy efficiency of industrial systems, with a view that promotes constant awareness to environmental and climate protection.
