A project gets underway allowing EDF to increase the French terminal's reloading capacity.
On January 28, TS LNG – the Techint E&C and Sener joint venture – signed the fast reloading contract for the LNG terminal in Dunkerque, France.
The project will be completes in 31 months and responses to EDF’s leed. The company confirmed its trust in Techint E&C to increase its capacity for reloading LNG from the plant’s storage tanks onto slips, from 4000 cubic metres per hour to 8300 cubic metres per hour.
In order to do this, it will be necessary to replace eight pumps, which are currently installed in two of the three tanks, with bigger pumps. It will also be necessary to install an additional Boil Off Gas (BOG) compressor in the existing building to handle larger amounts of BOG released during reloading. Last but not least, it will be needed to implement the required changes and additions to the electrical and control system as well as doing the necessary civil and mechanical works.
